Cam Thanh Eco Tour – Lantern Making & My Son Sanctuary Full Day

  • Hoi An
  • Excursión de un día
  • Grupo reducido
  • Recogida en el hotel

A full day from Hoi An: make your own lantern, fish and paddle a basket boat in the Cam Thanh coconut forest with a 7-dish lunch at a fisherman's house, then explore UNESCO-listed My Son and float home on the Thu Bon River at sunset.

Two sides of Hoi An in one day: the fishing life of the coconut forest in the morning, the Champa kingdom's holy land in the afternoon.

The day begins with local craftsmen who show you how to make a brightly coloured lantern – yours to take home as a gift. In Cam Thanh you drift through the coconut forest, catch crabs, try round-net and cast-net fishing, learn to paddle a bamboo basket boat and race one, then sit down to seven local dishes at a fisherman's house.

After a rest, you head inland to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to walk among centuries-old Champa temples and watch an Apsara dance. The day ends on the water: a boat back to Hoi An along the Thu Bon River at sunset, banh mi in hand.

Momentos que recordarás

  • Your own lantern

Silk stretched over a bamboo frame, glued and smoothed under a craftsman's patient eye – a little piece of Hoi An light to carry home.

  • The basket boat race

Round boats spin, paddles splash, and nobody goes in a straight line – least of all you – while the coconut palms look on.

  • River at dusk

After the red-brick temples of My Son, the boat slides down the Thu Bon as the sky turns gold and the riverbanks settle into evening.

Por qué nos encanta este viaje

It joins a playful, hands-on morning on the water with the quiet grandeur of My Son, and saves the best light of the day for the river ride home.
