Ha Long Bay Day Cruise from Hanoi – Reina Cruise

  • Ha Long Bay
  • Excursión de un día
  • Grupo reducido
  • Recogida en el hotel

A full day on Ha Long Bay from Hanoi aboard Reina Cruise: lunch while cruising among the limestone islands, Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat, Sung Sot Cave, Ti Top Island and a sunset party on deck.

Ha Long Bay is the kind of place people have seen in photos long before they arrive – and it still takes the breath away. Nearly two thousand limestone islands rise straight out of jade water, and this UNESCO World Heritage site is close enough to Hanoi for a single, unhurried day.

You leave the Old Quarter in the morning and take the expressway to the coast. Reina Cruise is a new steel boat, launched in 2025. Lunch is served as the boat slips between the islands, then the bay opens up stop by stop: the still water inside Luon Cave, the great chambers of Sung Sot, and the view from the top of Ti Top Island.

As the light turns gold, everyone gathers on deck for the sunset party before the ride back to Hanoi.

  • Reina Cruise: a new steel boat, launched in 2025
  • Kayak or ride a bamboo boat through Luon Cave into a hidden lagoon
  • Walk through Sung Sot (Amazing) Cave, one of the bay's largest caves
  • Climb Ti Top Island for a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay, or swim at its beach
  • Sunset party on deck with tea, fruit, snacks and wine
  • Lunch on board: a high-quality set menu

  4. 4

Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat

Đò tre luồn qua vòm hang Luồn vào áng nước bên trong

The first stop is Luon Cave, a fascinating wet cave. Choose to kayak through the silent water yourself, or let a local row you on a bamboo boat through the cave and out into a hidden lake enclosed on all sides by streaked cliffs and tree-topped peaks.

  5. 5

    Sung Sot (Amazing) Cave

Visitors inside illuminated limestone cave in Ha Long

Step off the boat for around an hour exploring Sung Sot Cave – the 'Amazing Cave' – whose vast chambers are among the largest in Ha Long Bay.

  6. 6

    Ti Top Island

Swim at the island's beach, or climb to the top of Ti Top for a panoramic photo of Ha Long Bay. The island is named after the Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov, who visited the bay with President Ho Chi Minh in 1962.

  7. 7

    Sunset party

Aerial view of emerald waters among Ha Long karsts

Gather on the sun deck to watch the sunset over the bay with tea, fruit, snacks and wine. A good moment to meet fellow travellers, share stories, or simply relax.

  8. 8

    Back to Hanoi

Cruise ship on calm bay at fiery sunset

Disembark around 18:00–18:30 and ride back to Hanoi on the expressway, with a short rest-room stop (about 5–10 minutes) around 19:15. Drop-off at your hotel at about 21:00–21:30.

Momentos que recordarás

  • Through the cave mouth

Paddling out of Luon Cave, the sound of the boat drops away and the hidden lake opens up: cliffs on every side, trees clinging to the peaks, and only the dip of the oars.

  • Above the bay

From the top of Ti Top Island the islands spread out in every direction – the view most people picture when they think of Ha Long Bay.

  • Sunset on deck

The light softens, the islands turn to silhouettes, and the sunset party begins: tea, fruit, snacks and wine.

Por qué nos encanta este viaje

It packs the best of the bay into one day without rushing it: about six hours on the water, a cave you paddle through, a cave you walk through, a beach and a viewpoint – and Reina Cruise makes the hours between them easy.
