Marble Mountains, Monkey Mountain & My Son Sanctuary Day Tour

  • Hoi An
  • Excursion d'une journée
  • Petit groupe
  • Prise en charge à l'hôtel

Da Nang's sacred mountains in the morning and the Cham temples of My Son in the afternoon – ending with a sunset boat on the Thu Bon River (from Hoi An) or rice-paper making and dinner at a local house (from Da Nang).

Two very different kinds of sacred place, one day. The morning belongs to Da Nang: the giant Lady Buddha on Monkey Mountain, then the Marble Mountains, with their stone carvers, 19th-century pagodas and the deep, legend-filled Am Phu Cave. Lunch is a bowl of mi Quang.

In the afternoon the road leads inland to My Son, the UNESCO-listed sanctuary of the ancient Champa kingdom, where brick temples stand in a green valley and Apsara dancers perform among the ruins.

How the day ends depends on where you start. From Hoi An, you drift home on the Thu Bon River at sunset with a banh mi in hand. From Da Nang, you learn to make rice paper at a local house and sit down to a family-style dinner before the drive back.

  • The giant Lady Buddha and bonsai garden on Monkey Mountain
  • Marble Mountains pagodas, the Huyen Khong and Tang Chon caves and Am Phu Cave
  • About 2 hours at My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with an Apsara dance
  • From Hoi An: sunset boat on the Thu Bon River with banh mi
  • From Da Nang: rice-paper making and dinner at a local house

Des moments inoubliables

  • Temples in the valley

At My Son the red-brick towers rise out of the green, and the Apsara dancers move to music that once filled these temples.

  • Sunset on the Thu Bon

From Hoi An, the boat drifts downriver as the light turns gold over the banks.

  • A family table

From Da Nang, warm rice paper you made yourself, then dinner at a local home.

Pourquoi nous aimons ce voyage

It joins two of central Vietnam's great spiritual sites in a single, well-paced day – and both endings, on the river or at a family table, are lovely.
