A half-day bike ride through Tra Nhieu and Kim Bong carpentry village across the river from Hoi An: wooden boat builders, rice paper and woven mats, a basket boat among the coconut palms and a meal with local people.

Just across the river from the Ancient Town, life still runs on rice fields, boats and old crafts. This tour combines a bicycle ride with a real look at that rural culture.

You cycle to Kim Bong Carpentry Village, a hidden gem of Hoi An known for its traditional crafts and boat-building, and watch craftsmen make wooden fishing boats. Quiet village roads and shady paths take you past green rice fields, water buffalo and friendly faces.

In Tra Nhieu you join daily life: learn how rice paper is made and try it yourself, and discover the colourful woven mats local families have made for generations. Then you row a bamboo basket boat along the coconut-lined river before a meal with the locals.

  • The tour is by bicycle.
  • Small group of 2–12 guests (minimum 2 guests).
  • Children 1–4 travel free, sharing a seat and meals with their parents. Children 5–9 pay the child price (686,000 VND). From 10 years old: adult price (910,000 VND).
  • Prices don't apply on Vietnamese public holidays and Tet; surcharge 100,000 VND per person on 1/1, 30/4, 1/5 and 20–21/02/2026.
  • No departures 15–19/02/2026 (Tet).
  • Pick-up is free from hotels in Hoi An city and Da Nang city. Hotels in Thang Binh or Duy Xuyen district (e.g. Hoiana Resort, Bliss, Tui Blue) and other areas pay a transfer surcharge, quoted on request.
