3 Traditional Handicraft Villages in 1 Tour – Thanh Ha Pottery, Kim Bong Carpentry & Tra Que

  • Hoi An
  • 一日游
  • 小团
  • 酒店接送

A half day by bicycle through Hoi An's three craft villages: hands-on pottery at Thanh Ha, carvers at work in Kim Bong, and a farmer's uniform in Tra Que's 300-year-old vegetable gardens, with a set-menu meal at a local Tra Que restaurant.

Amid the new streets that keep growing around Hoi An, three villages still live by the old trades. Ordinary people here lead lovely lives and keep the traditional values of their country alive – and they are happy to show you how.

At Thanh Ha you explore temples and museums with exhibitions about local history, then try pottery-making with your own hands. Across the Thu Bon River from the Ancient Town, Kim Bong rings with the sound of chisels as craftsmen carve wood the way their families always have.

The last stop is Tra Que, a peaceful vegetable village with a history of over 300 years. You put on a farm uniform and work the soil like a local farmer, then sit down to a set-menu meal at a local restaurant in the village.

  • Hands-on pottery-making at Thanh Ha Pottery Village, plus its temples and museums
  • Watch Kim Bong's craftsmen carve intricate wooden products – and order something custom-made
  • Be a farmer for a while at Tra Que, a vegetable village with over 300 years of history
  • Get around by bicycle, with a car or electric car available on request
  • Set-menu lunch (or dinner in the afternoon) at a local Tra Que restaurant

每日行程

  1. 1

Pick-up and Thanh Ha Pottery Village

Visitors trying pottery wheel in Thanh Ha village

Your tour guide picks you up at your hotel and the day begins at Thanh Ha Pottery Village. Explore its temples and museums with exhibitions, learn about local history, and try your hand at pottery-making.

  2. 2

    Kim Bong Carpentry Village

Nhà làng giữa hàng cau trên đảo Cẩm Kim gần Hội An

Kim Bong sits on the right bank of the lower Thu Bon River, opposite Hoi An Ancient Town – an ideal place for waterway transport. As you enter the village, the rhythmic sounds of chisels and carving tools fill the air. Visit carpentry workshops and watch artisans create intricately carved wooden products. You can order custom-made pieces or choose from the available collection at affordable prices, enjoy a bicycle ride through the village, learn about traditional farming activities or simply take in the daily life of the local people.

  3. 3

    Tra Que Vegetable Village

Rows of herbs and vegetables in Tra Que village, Hoi An

Tra Que lies about 3 km northeast of the Ancient Town, surrounded by Tra Que Lagoon and the De Vong River; its fertile soil and fresh air make it ideal for organic vegetable farming. Put on the farm uniform and live like a local farmer: tilling the soil, watering, fertilising and harvesting vegetables.

  4. 4

Set-menu meal at a local restaurant

Bowl of Vietnamese noodles with herbs and dipping sauces

Sit down to a set-menu lunch (or dinner on the afternoon tour) at a local restaurant in Tra Que.

难忘的瞬间

  • Clay on your hands

At Thanh Ha the wheel turns, the clay rises under your fingers, and the pot you shape is yours alone – a little lopsided, perhaps, and all the better for it.

  • Chisels by the river

In Kim Bong, opposite the Ancient Town, the tap of carving tools carries down the lanes – the same sound the village's craftsmen have grown up with.

  • Boots in the garden

In a farm uniform among Tra Que's vegetable beds, watering can in hand, you see how the herbs on every Hoi An plate are grown.

我们为何钟爱这趟旅程

It is three living crafts in one easy morning or afternoon – clay, wood and vegetable gardens – and in each one you get your hands busy rather than just watching.
