A straightforward day in Hue from Da Nang for groups of up to 22: Khai Dinh Tomb, a 7-dish lunch of Hue cuisine, the Imperial City of the Nguyen kings and Thien Mu Pagoda.

For more than a century Hue was the seat of the Nguyen kings, and its palaces, tombs and pagodas still tell that story. This day trip from Da Nang goes straight to them.

Start at Khai Dinh Tomb, where Eastern art meets Western architecture, and break for a 7-dish lunch of Hue cuisine. In the afternoon walk through the Imperial City – the Ngo Mon Gate, the Royal Library, Thai Hoa Palace and the Nine Dynastic Urns – then visit Thien Mu Pagoda before heading back to Da Nang for the evening.
