  • Day trip
  • Small group

Paddle a bamboo basket boat through the Cam Thanh coconut forest, then walk UNESCO-listed Hoi An with a guide, have dinner and release a flower lantern from a boat on the Hoai River.

The afternoon begins in the water palms of Cam Thanh, a quiet village outside Hoi An where round bamboo basket boats glide through the coconut forest. You'll learn to paddle one, join the rowing and watch the locals spin their boats in a lively basket-boat performance.

From there it's a short hop into Hoi An Old Town: a traditional arts show, Tan Ky House, the Cantonese Assembly Hall, the Museum of Trade Ceramics and the Japanese Covered Bridge, before free time at the night market as the lanterns light up.

Dinner is a set menu of Hoi An specialties, and the evening ends on the Hoai River with a flower lantern set afloat for luck.
