Sapa 3 Days 2 Nights: Cat Cat and Lao Chai – Ta Van or Ham Rong (Hotel)

  • Sapa
  • 3 days
  • Small group

Three unhurried days in Sapa with two nights in a town hotel of your chosen class: Cat Cat village, then the Lao Chai – Ta Van valley trek or Ham Rong mountain. A land tour starting in Sapa: transport Hanoi – Sapa – Hanoi is not included.

Two nights in Sapa give the mountains time to show themselves. Start with Cat Cat, the H'mong village just below town, its waterfall and the hydroelectric plant the French built in the early 20th century.

Then choose your route: the trek through the Muong Hoa valley to Lao Chai and Ta Van, among rice terraces and Black H'mong, Dzao and Dzay villages, or Ham Rong mountain right above Sapa town with its views.

You sleep both nights in Sapa town, in a 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotel.

Why we love this trip

The extra night changes the pace. You are not racing a bus back to Hanoi, and there is room to add Fansipan if the weather is clear.
